A crane operator is required for certain portions of the mobile crane inspection, especially to verify crane function and when inspecting the wire rope or ropes.

Inspection Method:

  1. Visual Inspection of the crane/overhead structure and components,
  2. Functional Inspection of the crane operating systems, and
  3. NDT Inspection utilizing magnetic particle inspection to examine structural components for cracks. NDT inspection is a very important component of the inspection process because it allows the inspector to identify structural cracks or deficiencies that may be present that are not obvious by visual inspection alone.

Load Tests/Proof Load Tests of various types of lifting equipment per OSHA, ASME, and/or ANSI Codes; or per manufacturer/end user defined requirements is available if required or upon request.
